1968 Triumph Vitesse MkII

The Triumph Vitesse Mark II was launched in October 1968 as the final update to the Vitesse range.

A relatively early MkII, our 1968 Triumph Vitesse MkII convertible with overdrive was first registered in November of the same year, 1968.

The current owner has owned the car since 2010 and has since been regularly upgraded and continually improved. Finished in white with black interior and black hood the car also has a bespoke walnut wood veneer dash that was designed and built here in Woodbridge by a specialist within the boat yard. Extra instruments fitted providing a voltmeter, clock and oil pressure gauge.

Within its life, various works have been completed to the exterior. Both doors have been replaced, repainted and new inner panels. The original door cappings have been reproduced in Mahogony to match the dash.. The bonnet has been stripped back to bare metal, new valance fitted, inner and outer nearside and offside wheel arches have been replaced. New foams and bases have been fitted to the front seats and new belts fitted in the rear. The headlights have been converted to Halogen and the windscreen surround has been rebuilt. The rear suspension has been upgraded with coil springs.

Mechanically, the car has had the head rebuilt with all compression’s checked. The dynamo has been replaced with an alternator but the original dynamo is still available if preferred. The air intake box has been replaced with pancake air filters and a spin off oil filter modification has been made. The car has been fitted with electronic ignition.

The car will come with a tonneau cover and a full car cover. It was MOT’d in 2018 with no advisories.

With the summer just round the corner this is the ideal classic for it. Just jump in, drive and enjoy.
