1967 Jaguar E-Type: off to Czech Republic

Our 1967 Jaguar E-Type bodyshell is now making it’s way over to the Czech Republic to be restored by the guys at Slavik Jagspares.

We are hoping to follow the progress of the restoration. If we receive photographs and information we will be sure to update our website.

About Slavik Jagspares – The company Slavik Jagspares was founded in 1995 as a branch of the German company Slavik, engaged in restoration and sale of spare parts for Jaguar XK-120/140/150 & E-Type since 1975.

Some of their employees had the opportunity to acquire expertise from a parent company in Germany in 1995-2000. Since 2002 they have been doing all the necessary tasks on their own and they specialise in repairs and renovations of the above mentioned vehicles.

Long-term excellent partnerships with major spare parts suppliers in England place them at the forefront of supplying spare parts for the Jaguar XK-120/140/150 & E-Type on the European continent.

Our E-Type shell is now in primer

We have now preserved our 1967 Jaguar E-Type body shell by applying a thin layer of primer. The restoration will eventually commence but until then we know that the body shell is safely inside and not open to the elements.

Prostrip automotive restoration specialise in removing paint, rust and other contaminants from all types of vehicles and substrates involving steel and aluminium, ranging from classic cars to vintage motorcycles. Their vast in-house facility ensures they have the correct and most cost effective process to suit your application.

Prostrip Ltd. Has developed Phos-Strip™ a chemical dip process for the removal of paint, rust and under seal from complete car shells or individual panels. Its chemical formulation strips away contaminants from all internal and external areas.

Our 1967 Jaguar E-Type body shell has now been through the Prostrip treatment.

We’ll now apply primer to the exposed shell to prolong any deterioration whilst we store the shell ready for the restoration to commence.

Chemically dipping our 1967 Jaguar E-Type shell

One for the future, our 1967 Jaguar E-Type shell will someday be reproduced into a complete car. At this stage no decisions have been made as to how the car will look but the shell has now been delivered to the guys at Prostrip in Nottingham to be chemically dipped before returning to us to be preserved for a future date.
