We have some substantial engine issues to contend with on our 1970 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 1.
The head gasket has gone which has resulted in the water getting through and over heating the engine. One of the push rods is also severely buckled and we believe the inlet manifold has developed a hair-line crack.
At this stage it looks as though the engine will need to be removed and either rebuilt of replaced with an alternative.
In our workshops this week we have our 1970 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow with a suspected head gasket. Upon starting, we are immediately experiencing pressurise in one cylinder going into the water way.
