Adrian Offord, our Engine Specialist gives us a brief rundown on the recent porting on this Meadows Engine.

“Engine porting allows a larger flow of air and fuel into the engine, increasing engine horsepower. Firstly, this Meadows Engine has been machined to take Bronze valve guides. The cylinder head has been unleaded and all valve seats have been cut to take larger valves. Then the cylinder head has been ported to increase gas flow. From there, the cylinder head goes onto a flow bench to find the optimum point for maximum efficiency.”

The process of engine porting increases the maximum horsepower an engine can output.
