Classic car for sale: This beautiful classic Daimler Dart, also known as the Daimler SP250 is finished in a dazzling gunmetal grey paint. The interior is a wonderfully presented magnolia leather.
This car was originally built in left hand drive and was the New York Motor Show show car.
Purchased and returned to England, it has been subject to a full concours restoration which included converting the car to right hand drive.
The engine and gearbox have been fully rebuilt, as has the back axle and running gear. During the restoration the brakes and shock absorbers have been upgraded.
New S/S spoke wheels and exhaust have been fitted to the vehicle. The steering box was replaced for a far superior steering rack and additionally, an electric ignition was fitted.
The chrome-work and interior trim have been replaced or refurbished as you would expect with a concours restoration.
The 2.5l iron-block water cooled V8 runs incredibly smooth and sounds fabulous. As part of the engine rebuild our Daimler Dart was treated to new pistons and re-boring, the crank shaft was re-ground, lightly ported to increase gas flow and then finally it was balanced.
This car is in immaculate condition, we would strongly advise seeing this beauty in person as it really is stunning.
