1969 Triumph Vitesse MK II (Mark 2)

This Vitesse is the much sought-after Mark 2 (II) 2-litre. Featuring a redesigned new lower wishbone setup, the handling and driving feel significantly improved from its predecessor. The 2-litre inline 6 cylinder engine puts out 104bhp and was marketed by triumph as ‘The Two Seater Beater’ referring to the upgrade in performance the 2.0l engine provided.

There is next to no rust on the body and has some rust in the bonnet. The car would benefit from a full respray to bring her back to full glory but can be easily used as is. The interior is a very nice place to be with very nice tan seats, good woodwork and excellent carpets.

The car starts on the button, pulls well, gearbox is a delight and has the benefit of overdrive for motorway cruising and improved fuel economy.

Way ahead of the MGB and Sunbeam Alpine sports cars of the time, this beautiful classic is sought-after today by enthusiasts because of its reliable mechanical reputation and timeless, beautiful design.
