A few years ago we purchased the car as an unfinished project. We completed the restoration with minimal paintwork, new ceiling cloth, brand new Fishnet interior, new carpets and door panels.
Bridge Classic Cars then went on to sell the vehicle shortly after completion.
We have recently acquired the vehicle back when we heard that the customer was thinking of selling to carry out an extension on his home.
Interior – full Aldridge Trimming re trim – inc headlining, custom door cards, new carpets all round, including the boot, genuine RS centre consol, new period seat belts.
Exterior – the paint work is not to concours standard but is in good condition. The engine bay looks lovely, all panels are in good rust free condition. The underside has been undersealed, floor pans, bulk head, boot floor have had sound deadening applied. Please not, this is not to hide any panel work issues. All rubber seals and drainage bungs are present and doing their job with no issues. All 4 refurbished RS wheels are in great condition, the spare wheel is also an RS wheel and is fitted with a brand new tyre.
Engine – standard 2 litre pinto , 4 branch Janspeed manifold, new stainless steel Janspeed system, new webber carb and KN filter, alloy radiator, additional electric fan on remote switch, new fuel pump, standard points distributor.
Gear box – Grp 1 genuine 4 speed rocket box with grp1 internals, quick shift gear stick and RS alloy bell housing.
Brakes – New M16 calipers with vented grooved discs, drums rear new shoes, new master cylinder, refurbished brake servo, new brake lines.
Axle – standard english RS 2000 diff, 2 piece prop, RS 2 tramp bars.
Suspension – Bilstien front struts and rear shocks, gr1 anti roll bar bracket, new poly-bush bushes, new track control arms and lower arms, single leaf rear springs.
