1988 Ford Escort RS Turbo
Having spent it’s life enjoying the wonderful roads of southern France, in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, this incredible car was first registered in France in 1988 before being re-registered in the UK in 2020 with Bridge Classic Cars being the only UK owner.
So where do we start? RS, any fast Ford lover’s favourite two letters. The famous badge is only fitted to the quickest, most driver focused models in the Ford line-up. The RS was developed with motorsport in mind. We have on offer today one of the fastest hot hatches, certainly the most iconic of its day, the RS Turbo.
A good friend of Bridge Classic Cars, the previous owner resides in Spain and he commissioned A.D.Horne & Son with the build of this simply stunning restoration.
Our freshly restored Escort hasn’t even been fully run in yet. It really is a fresh out of the box restoration with only 33 miles on the clock. Our RS has an uprated hybrid turbo, uprated starter motor, uprated roller rockers and a full stainless steel exhaust. Other than that, the car has been restored to beautiful original specification. As part of its extensive restoration, it has had new sills and arches. The original engine had around 30,000km’s on the clock before being fully rebuilt. Expert mechanical fuel injection specialists C&J Autos have ensured this car runs perfectly. This car has had no expense spared on its restoration.

For additional peace of mind, at the point of sale each and every car undergoes a final inspection to ensure the vehicle is up to our high standards.
